Belgian-born Dominique Vandenhoudt - who has worked for all major TV Networks in Europe covering numerous headline stories & meeting a host of interesting people, with interesting stories. Some of them happen to be famous, like Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Bono, The Dalai Lama, Yasser Arafat, Bill Clinton and Princess Diana, to name a few.
Dominique started his career as sound-engineer and later as cameraman, and was there to film the story of the Fall of the Berlin Wall – for ITN. While working in Belgium, Dominique was introduced to the new concept of Video Journalist, based on the principle of person handling planning, researching and scripting the story and then filming, interviewing and editing the report.
Dominique Vandenhoudt is director of Tape Town Productions, a company specialized in video training and new media in South Africa.
